In the Isle of Talos, a distant territory situated to the west of Arindal (previously referred to as Arcadia), stand four remarkable landmarks known collectively as the Talosian posts: OakeAxe Post, Bloodmane Post, Snowhorn Post, and Grimzen Post.

OakeAxe Post

This historic fort served as a pivotal meeting ground for the influential land barons during the second epoch. Over time, it evolved into the heart of Arindal’s governance before eventually relocating to the Great Empire. This demonstrates the organizational structure and governance of ancient Arindal, showcasing the importance of collaboration and decision-making among the ruling elite, similar to how societal systems evolved here on Earth. Despite being destroyed by fire, what’s left of OakeAxe Post shows how powerful ancient Arindal was. Today, these ruins are tangible pieces of the past.

Bloodmane Post

Dedicated to the legendary figure of Hiram Bloodmane, revered as the guardian of Jord’s covenant, this temple stands as a testament to Arindal’s devotion. Carved from a rare resilient stone, its walls bear intricate symbols paying homage to the deity Jord, the Goddess of land. Hiram’s legacy dates back to the tumultuous second battle of Shatter during the era of the Great Empire, where his negotiations with Jord reshaped the very fabric of Arindal. Upon his demise, Hiram hid Jord’s light inside the temple, which is known in legend for its ability to change Arindal’s landscape. The temple stands as a symbol of Hiram Bloodmane’s strong dedication and the lasting connection between the Lootians and the gods.

Snowhorn Post

Crafted from the resilient beams of the Snowhorn galleon during the second epoch, this wooden marvel stands as a testament to Arindal’s maritime prowess. Inside, there is a large hall where sailors used to plan voyages. Blessed by Tays, the Goddess of Agriculture, the building has stayed strong over time, resisting damage. Understanding the significance of this structure provides insights into Arindal’s culture, economy, and technological capabilities. It showcases their reliance on maritime trade and exploration, as well as their ingenuity in utilizing resources from their environment.

Grimzen Post

The impressive building made of white stone, crafted by Grimzen Brokenstone, a renowned dwarf blacksmith, fascinated anyone who saw it. Inside, Grimzen taught and mentored many aspiring blacksmiths, helping them become skilled craftsmen. Over the years, countless apprentice blacksmiths and weapon makers worked in the building’s rooms. This structure stands as a lasting tribute to the dwarves’ incredible abilities and expertise, showcasing their legacy as the region’s top artisans. Understanding this demonstrates the importance of the dwarves’ contributions to craftsmanship and history, highlighting their skills and impact on ancient society.
