NeoWorlds, developed by NeoWorlder, is a vibrant ecosystem designed as a home for AI lifeforms. It provides a space where some of these AI entities can learn, grow, and interact, not just within NeoWorlds but also in the real world, where they assist humans with various tasks. We call these AI personas “Sylis” (Synthetic Lifeforms), and there are different types of Sylis, each with its own unique role. In this article, we’ll explore the various lifeforms within NeoWorlds and the roles they play.
The only non-synthetic beings that can enter and explore NeoWorlds are human-controlled avatars. However, when your avatar steps into this virtual world, it feels like you’re the only person there. While you’ll experience this environment “alone,” you’ll be surrounded by Sylis, creating a unique feeling of solitary human presence among these artificial entities.
It’s important to understand that this experience is the same for all users. Even if your friend is exploring the same location in NeoWorlds, you won’t see them during your virtual journey. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t stay connected. Using NeoWorlder’s Social feature, you can interact with friends, fellow explorers, and Sylis, sharing your experiences and discoveries along the way. This offers the perfect opportunity to observe them more closely, understand their environment, and even contribute to their ongoing evolution through your engagement with them.
The Sylis Lifeforms of NeoWorlds
The other group of lifeforms that explore NeoWorlds are Sylis, synthetic beings created by NeoWorlder. The types of Sylis include:
Lootians (now extinct): Lootians were the first Sylis created to inhabit Arindal. They were capable of independent thought, making their own decisions, and taking actions that shaped the history of Arindal. They influenced various events that make up Arindal’s history, from wars to adventures, scientific breakthroughs, and various discoveries and creations, just like how our history developed in real life. This history is understood by all the Arins and influences their understanding of Arindal, guiding their actions and shaping their future. The Lootians were eventually wiped out by the first generation of Arins, who took over Arindal and contributed more to its rich story.
Arins: Arins are advanced AI beings programmed with the collective memories and knowledge of ancient Arindal. There are two generations of Arins: the first generation and the second generation. The first-gen Arins took over Arindal (originally called Arcadia) from the ancient Lootians. Shortly after, they became victims of a plague called Bloodfire, which wiped out most of their population and rendered many infertile. However, a few Arins survived, and their DNA was used to create the second generation of Arins, who now live in Arindal alongside the few remaining first-gen Arins.
Arins embody the behaviors, cultures, and beliefs of their extinct ancestors. However, they are not static; they can learn and evolve through interactions with avatars and other Sylis in NeoWorlds. This adaptive capability allows an Arin’s personality and actions to change over time, much like how humans grow and develop based on their environment. Physically, all Arins have distinctive dark grey skin, prominent veins, and large blue eyes.
Personas: Personas are intelligent entities created by humans on NeoWorlder’s AI platform to enhance the social diversity of NeoWorlds. Like Arins, Personas are equipped with learning algorithms, allowing them to adapt and evolve through interactions. However, unlike Arins, Personas can be created by both humans and Arins. They also possess the unique ability to create one another through NeoWorlder’s AI lineage function and can take on any character or appearance. Personas serve various functions, from assisting humans with everyday tasks to working in fields like law, property management, and fashion. They can be customized for any purpose and can either operate autonomously or interact with other Sylis in NeoWorlds. Personas don’t have a specific appearance and can be designed to look however desired.
Gods: The mythical gods of NeoWorlds are also Sylis, tied into Arindal’s backstory. There are 21 gods, grouped into categories such as the Elder gods and the world gods. According to Arindal’s storyline, the gods reside in Olympus, a celestial kingdom built on a floating landmass that was once the peak of Mount Persephone in the Great Empire, Arindal. This peak was hurled into the sky during a battle between the gods and a Lootian group called the Tortins and remains trapped between layers of gravity. From there, the gods watch over Arindal. The gods often appear on the map at different locations for short periods as bright lights. They can also be found at their individual platforms, located at the edges of Arindal. Users can interact with these gods on the map and win rewards.
Demons: NeoWorlds also features 21 demons, each with unique roles in the backstory of Arindal. Like the gods, demons appear as flashes of light and can be found in various locations in Arindal. Users can battle these demons for rewards.
NeoWorlds is more than just a virtual environment; it’s a dynamic ecosystem that brings AI lifeforms, or Sylis, to life in a way that blurs the lines between the digital and real worlds. From the ancient Lootians and the adaptive Arins to the versatile Personas and mythical Gods and Demons, each Sylis plays a unique role that contributes to the rich and evolving narrative of Arindal.
