In one of our earlier articles, we shared the locations of 12 natural resource fields across Arindal, a world within NeoWorlds, with our community on Discord. Initially, only six of these fields were named. However, we have now proceeded to name all 12 fields, completing the list for our community to explore. Here are the final names:
Hyperion Basin
Marseilles Basin
Permian Cross Basin
Bobayaga Basin
Fritz Basin
Tsimin Basin
Halka Besina
Al Haynes Mujabadin Sands
EagleRiver Shale Kraftur Basin
Shezmu Basin
Bainne Basin
Some of these resource fields extend into the waters of Arindal, allowing users with ocean plots to access them as well. If your plot is located on a natural resource field, you can extract the available natural resources by purchasing a license using MRD (Multiverse Drawing Rights, NeoWorlder’s native token). Once licensed, you can start extracting and converting the resources into Consumables (Co).
Consumables can be used to create residential properties and units in NeoWorlds, transportation systems, enabling you to easily move items from one place to another, and other infrastructure in this dynamic virtual world. This expands the possibilities for users, allowing them to actively shape and enhance the virtual environment.
In our resource system, there are two types of tokens: Resource A and Resource B. Resource A tokens cause pollution when converted, so offset tokens are required to mitigate the environmental impact. On the other hand, Resource B tokens are clean and do not produce pollution, so they don’t need to be offset. The amount of Resource A and B tokens you receive depends on how many tokens are linked to your plot.
While we’ve named these natural resource fields, we haven’t yet explored the actual resources they contain. This article aims to change that. Arindal has eight types of natural resources, some located on land and others in the Underworld—a realm beneath Arindal that mirrors the world above but is upside down.
Oil
Oil is found in the Underworld. It is a dark liquid vital to Arindal’s economy, extracted using Resource A (which causes pollution and requires offsetting). The oil powers industries and transportation. By law, Resource A must be offset before it is turned into fuel for the OmniCore, a power device. The power of the OmniCore is measured in units called CO.
Natural Gas
Natural Gas is a clear, invisible, and highly flammable gas found in Arindal. It’s extracted using the Resource B method, which is clean and doesn’t need to be offset before being used in the OmniCore. Natural Gas powers heating, electricity, and various industries, helping keep the planet’s technology and economy stable.
Havarium
Havarium is a glowing ore found in Neo Worlds’ star systems. It can’t be mined yet, but it’s believed to hold a lot of energy. Havarium might be important for travel between worlds and advanced space technologies in the future.
Melange
Melange, also known as the underwater spice jewel, is mainly found in Arindal’s coastal areas. It is valued for its ability to extend life and improve mental abilities. However, Melange is hard to get, and there are no current ways to extract or sell it.
Mythralloy
Mythralloy is a very strong and lightweight metal from the mythical mountains of Arindal. It is used to build armor, weapons, spaceships, and durable structures. The methods to extract Mythralloy are still being developed.
Aetherium
Aetherium is a rare gas mined from the skies above Arindal. It might be used to power anti-gravity devices. Its discovery on Olympus changed how people understand the areas above Arindal and led to the creation of floating cities.
Staquadah
Staquadah is a powerful element that conducts energy very well. It’s needed for advanced propulsion systems and energy shields, which are important for space fleets and planetary defenses. However, effective ways to extract it have not been developed yet.
Glimmeryne
Glimmeryne is a bright gas from the Underworld, named after the light of ancient souls. It is believed to hold the life force of the deceased and is used in arts and magic to boost energy and enhance spells and enchantments.
As NeoWorlds continues to expand, the diverse array of natural resources within Arindal plays a pivotal role in shaping its technological and economic landscape. From the vital oil and natural gas that power industries to the rare and mysterious materials like Havarium and Aetherium that unlock future advancements, each resource contributes uniquely to the ecosystem.
Owners of districts with natural resource fields will be able to engage directly in resource extraction, leveraging their plots to support and enhance the virtual world. With the innovative Resource A and Resource B token systems, users can optimize their contributions and benefits, all while maintaining environmental balance through thoughtful practices.
